Is FaceBook or Instagram Better for my Business?

Let’s get right to the point. It’s about which platform will build your business. Help it grow, and build connections with customers.

There are SO many benefits to combing social media and your business. Using social media is a low cost, and helps attract customers using a personal touch. It also helps to give your brand it’s own voice! A good brand will build a good reputation where not only other brands, but influencers will want to work with you. But, we have to cover the basics first.

We’ll start with FaceBook- according to the latest research by DreamGlow, FaceBook has 2.07 billion monthly active users. So if you ONLY want visibility, it’s a perfect match. But when it comes to engagement, you may want to find another option. Facebook’s strong suit isn’t building connections, or growing your audience the ole’ fashioned way. Facebook is best used for distributing information. General information, especially you’re in the business field. When it comes to demographic, women take the cake. But, that’s common with just about every social media channel.

Oh Instagram, my personal favorite, how you serve us well. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Instagram has over 800 million monthly active users, and over 500 million daily active users. Loving those numbers? Yeah, same. Instagram is documented to have some of the most highly engaged users. On average, it’s users share over 95 million photos and videos. Most of these users being young. Insta’s way more popular with young adults form the ages of 18-29.So if you’re purposely trying to reach a young audience, I would 100% take advantage of it.

So there you have it! FaceBook vs. Instagram. Both crucial for spreading information, but each has its strengths and its weaknesses. Still not sure which one’s for you? Why not do both? If you need to make connections, and engage with your followers/audience, use Instagram as much as possible! For a more professional, business standpoint use FaceBook. You can even link the two so your Instagram posts, post to FaceBook as well. The best of both worlds!
